DIGI SENS sensors need only few micrometers of deformation for a reliable measurement. This makes an indirect measurement of the weight possible and also makes their application for the measurement of forces in machines and structures easier. No weighing platform or load cell needs to be used to determine the weight, this can be determined through load-proportional stresses in the existing structural frame. Using the oscillating-wire sensor, the force is measured at a chosen highly stressed location on the structure.

Thanks to the easy installation (screwing or glueing) cost-effective measurement systems adapted to the existing structure can be realised. The costs and the time required for installation are often several times less than for conventional systems. The high integration depth (few adaptations and extra parts) make for simple and robust measurement chains.
